These beautifully restored locomotives are being threatened by the Santa Cruz county, Lockheed fire.
In doing research for my book ‘Danger in the Jeweled City’, I discovered this hidden treasure just north of Davenport CA. The trains were featured in my story and I was thrilled to have been able to ride the train earlier this year.
They’ve been lovingly and painstakingly restored so that the public might appreciate them. visiting the railroad is a great family outing – I’m praying they’re spared for today’s kids as well as for the future.
